Description
This VTAP100 contactless reader can read and decrypt NFC pass data from Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with a simple tap, and transfer that data to other systems. It is fully certified by both Apple and Google, to work with their respective VAS and Smart Tap protocols, supporting automatic pass selection on iOS, as well as on-board decryption
As well as reading passes from iPhone or Android mobile phones, it will also read UID or secure encoded data from many types of RFID and NFC cards and tags, including MIFARE Classic and DESFire.
The VTAP100-PAC-W is a version of the VTAP100 which can transfer pass data over a standard Wiegand interface. This allows this VTAP reader to be used in supervised access control situations, such as a door or turnstile reader. The narrow, compact case can positioned horizontally, or easily mounted on walls or door frames.
This VTAP100 Wiegand reader can be embedded for use in many environments, including gym check-in, and sports ticketing, and is suitable for outdoor use. Pass data can be transferred over the Wiegand interface using various bit lengths/formats to suit your access controller and the reader can convey standard LED and buzzer user feedback.
A USB connection from any PC is used to configure the VTAP100, by editing simple text files. Keys can be easily updated but cannot be extracted from the device. The configuration can be locked, so that the device is password protected or read-only in general use.
The VTAP100-PAC-W-CC is supplied in a compact plastic case. This is everything needed to get started with mobile NFC pass reading. You will have access to create demonstration mobile passes, so that you can test your application. For production purposes you will need to use a third-party pass provider, or integrate directly with Apple and Google. Your branding can be extended to the readers with the addition of custom-printed front labels, as an optional extra.
Includes a free license for Dot Origin's popular Read-a-Card software on request - ideal for customers wanting to integrate with web or desktop applications without using keyboard emulation.
If this VTAP100 PAC W reader does not fit your requirement, check out the other versions of VTAP NFC reader. These include a VTAP100 PAC W model in a different case, one with an RS-485/OSDP interface for compatibility with other access controllers, and pre-certified PCB modules for integrators, providing both USB and RS-232 serial connectivity.
